Frequently Asked Questions
How much does dog board and train in North Fort Myers cost?
Pricing depends on the selected program. Because program details and rates can change, review the current pricing information or call (239) 330-3926 for availability and guidance. No prices are listed on this page.
How long does Board and Train take?
The 10 Day Pawsitive Foundation Puppy Board & Train lasts 10 days, the adult Board & Train lasts two weeks, and the Behavior Modification Board & Train includes three weeks of immersive training plus three additional lessons.
The appropriate option depends on your dog’s age, behavior history, and training goals. Continued practice at home is essential after any program.
Is my dog a good candidate?
Dogs eight months or older without significant behavioral issues may qualify for the standard 2 Week Board & Train. Puppies between 12 and 24 weeks may qualify for the puppy foundation program.
Dogs with aggression, severe reactivity, or bite history may need the Behavior Modification program. Share your dog’s complete behavior history during the consultation.
Can Board and Train help with aggression?
A Behavior Modification Board & Train is available for dogs with dog-directed aggression, human-directed aggression, or both. The program includes three weeks of training, three additional lessons, and muzzle-training requirements.
Meaningful improvement may be possible, but aggression cannot be guaranteed to disappear completely. Sudden behavioral changes should also be discussed with a veterinarian to rule out pain or medical causes.
What does the 2 Week Board & Train teach?
The published curriculum includes Sit, Down, Come, Place, No, loose-leash walking, on-leash Heel in public spaces, greeting manners, door manners, an introduction to play, training with distractions, and off-leash recall when applicable.
The program is designed for dogs eight months or older and is not intended for dogs needing behavior modification.
What happens after my dog comes home?
Owners receive instruction on the commands, tools, and handling techniques used during training. Continued home practice helps the dog apply those skills with family members and in familiar environments.
The 2 Week Board & Train includes free refresher lessons on obedience for the life of the dog.
