Frequently Asked Questions
How much does private dog training in North Fort Myers cost?
Pricing depends on whether you select Basic Obedience, Basic & Advanced Obedience, or a behavior-focused program. No prices are listed on this page.
Review the current pricing information or call (239) 330-3926 to discuss the available options.
How long do private dog training programs take?
Basic Obedience includes four private lessons, Basic & Advanced includes eight private lessons, and Behavior Modification includes nine lessons.
The calendar timeframe depends on scheduling and the selected program. Progress also depends on the dog’s behavior history, starting point, and practice between lessons.
Which program may be right for my dog?
Dogs beginning formal obedience may be suited to Basic Obedience. Owners seeking advanced commands or greater focus around distractions may consider Basic & Advanced.
Dogs with aggression, reactivity, severe anxiety or timidity, or problems around other dogs may require Behavior Modification lessons. Share your dog’s complete behavior history during the phone consultation.
Can private dog training help with aggression or reactivity?
A nine-lesson Behavior Modification program is available for dogs with qualifying behavioral concerns. It includes Basic Obedience plus additional lessons involving work around other dogs in different scenarios.
Some dogs may need a properly fitted muzzle purchased separately. Aggression cannot be guaranteed to disappear completely. Sudden behavior changes or suspected pain should also be discussed with a veterinarian.
Where do private lessons take place?
Depending on the selected program and training plan, lessons may occur at home, during neighborhood walks, in local parks, or in appropriate public settings.
Contact the Fort Myers team to confirm the exact training location and scheduling arrangements. Do not assume that every lesson will take place at home.
Does private training use an e-collar or other equipment?
Basic Obedience includes most training equipment, including a prong or training collar and leash. Basic & Advanced includes most equipment, including an e-collar and leash.
The trainer should explain how to use the program’s equipment. Owners should follow the provided handling and practice instructions.
