Laurin has spent most of the past seven years working in the world of dogs, with a background in law enforcement and a specialty in animal protection law. In that role, she pursued criminal cases involving the treatment and care of domestic animals in Virginia. What she saw in and around local shelters pushed her to take a more hands-on role in helping dogs directly, which led her to join the Off Leash K9 Training team.
Laurin noticed a major disconnect between humans and their dogs and wanted to help bridge that gap through clear education and practical training. Her favorite part of the job is watching her work not only correct unwanted behaviors, but also strengthen the relationship between clients and their dogs in a lasting way.
