Frequently Asked Questions About Dog Training in Cape Coral
What areas do you serve in Cape Coral?
Off Leash K9 Training serves Cape Coral, FL along with Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, Lehigh Acres, Gateway, Buckingham, Estero, Bonita Springs, Pine Island, Sanibel Island, and Captiva. Our services cover the greater Fort Myers area throughout Southwest Florida.
How long does dog training take?
Training duration depends on the program selected and your dog’s individual needs. Basic Obedience includes 4 lessons, while Basic & Advanced Training involves 8 lessons. Board & Train programs range from 10 days for puppy foundations to 3 weeks for behavior modification. Your trainer will discuss realistic timelines during your consultation.
Do you offer training for aggressive dogs?
Yes, we offer Behavior Modification Lessons (9-lesson program) and Behavior Modification Board & Train (3 weeks plus lessons) for dogs with aggression, reactivity, or other serious behavioral concerns. A muzzle may be required for safety during these programs. Note that complete fixes cannot be guaranteed for major behavioral issues, but our structured approach addresses these challenges safely and effectively.
What age should I start training my puppy?
We recommend starting early! Our Puppy Training Consultation is available for pups 5 months or younger. For puppies 12-24 weeks old, the 10 Day Pawsitive Foundation Puppy Board & Train provides an excellent on-leash foundation. Early puppy classes and socialization help prevent behavioral issues before they develop.
