2-Week Board & Train: Available for dogs eight months or older. This immersive program covers sit, down, come, place, no, loose-leash walking, on-leash heel in public spaces, greeting manners, door manners, play, and training around distractions. Off-leash recall is included when applicable. Most training equipment is included.

The program also includes free refresher lessons on obedience for the life of the dog. It is not designed for dogs with behavioral issues requiring specialized behavior modification.

Day Board & Train Program: Available for dogs seven months or older. Dogs train Monday through Friday from approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., depending on the owner and trainer’s schedule, and return home afterward.

The program covers come, sit, place, down, heel, and loose-leash walking. At Friday pickup, the trainer reviews the week’s training and provides homework for continued practice. Training tools are included.

Owners remain an important part of the process. Continued practice helps reinforce the commands and expectations developed during professional training.

Puppy Training Services

Starting puppy training early can help build communication, confidence, manners, and foundational obedience before unwanted habits become more established.

Puppy Training Consultation: Available for puppies five months or younger. The consultation covers house-training guidance, proper handling, an introduction to play, food rewards, basic obedience foundations, and answers to common puppy-training questions.

Pawsitive Puppy Lesson Program: This five-lesson program uses positive reinforcement, rewards, marker training, and clicker training. It focuses on foundational obedience, play, socialization, confidence, sit, come, place, and loose-leash walking.

A treat bag, clicker, and slip lead are included, while the owner provides treats.

10-Day Pawsitive Foundation Puppy Board & Train: Available for vaccinated puppies between 12 and 24 weeks old. This on-leash program covers sit, down, place, loose-leash walking, come on a 15-foot leash, greeting manners, basic obedience, and socialization.

Training tools are included. The trainer will also help establish a crate and house-training schedule for use when the puppy returns home, but crate training and housebreaking are not guaranteed.

Specialized Behavior Training

Dogs experiencing aggression, reactivity, severe anxiety, timidness, or issues around other dogs may need a specialized program. The right approach depends on the dog’s history, triggers, behavior severity, and safety needs.

Behavior Modification Lessons: This nine-lesson program includes Basic Obedience plus additional lessons working with the dog and owner around other dogs in different scenarios.

Some dogs may require a separately purchased muzzle, and the trainer can provide guidance on sizing and muzzle training when necessary.

Behavior Modification Board & Train: This program includes a 3-week Board & Train, two one-hour sessions before boarding, and one one-hour follow-up session approximately two weeks afterward.

Dogs entering this program must be properly muzzle trained before boarding. The muzzle must be purchased separately, while other training materials are provided.

Behavior modification focuses on improving communication, obedience, management, and owner control. Complete elimination of aggressive behavior cannot be guaranteed.

Therapy Dog Preparation

Therapy Dog Preparation: This eight-week, eight-lesson program prepares dogs and handlers for therapy dog testing and certification.
